Sherpa-Eyes (The Drunken Surprise)
Sherpa-Eyes (The Drunken Surprise)
I am the sherpa
Of all I survey,
I'm your humble sherpa
Hurray! Hurray!
Take you on a lark
Or on a distant voyage,
Explain to you atom or quark
Or the uses of mini-storage
(Oh, how I deplorage!).
In the foliage of my mind
Two birds are but a dinner,
A person who wears furs
Is an animal-skinner,
But an animal who eats
(And eats a human supper),
Him is the biggest
Chief Wallumpawuffer!
My eyes see all,
I'm short but now I'm tall,
A fist is a sandwich
And knuckles are bumpy, boney protusions on your hands...
I'm your sherpa,
Your sherpa I am.
