Isn’t It Ironic



Ironic.
What is “ironic”?
The definition of ironic,
Is when destiny finds that
You are so dense that
She has to hit you between the eyes
With a large mallet
To make you see what you should have
Seen all along.
That is the definition of ironic.

Seeing, without actually seeing.
Reading, without comprehending.
Loving, without trusting.
Hearing only your side of every conversation,
Thinking only what you fear,
Believing only that which brings death
And cursing God and man for everything
That goes wrong for you,
Never seeing, never knowing,
Never comprehending that we each make
Choices, each and every day,
And these choices lead us to where we are right now.

Irony;
The taste of metal in your mouth,
Watching as you dig your own grave and dive into it,
And blaming others for your demise.

Ironic.
